Chill December brings the sleet

Blazing fire and Christmas treat!

Finally, the end of the poem and the line I most look forward to, except that this year.....

We have reached that time of year when Christmas is behind us - or way off in the distance if you are a forward thinking kind of person - but for me, it is still in the future as Christmas at the Pegram's had to cancelled due to man-flu, my fault of course! And now we have an outbreak of lady-flu, nowhere near as bad, but also my fault! I expect the present Mrs. Pegram might start talking to me again around Easter time. But enough of all that!

I do hope you all had a lovely Christmas unimpeded by Drones or Man-flu and that Santa bought you everything you wished for - maybe that special tool you always wanted!

Now it's time to make your New Year's Resolution to get round to, start fixing up or making that project you have been thinking about for ages. Our workshop at Greystone's remains at your disposal for this very purpose!

The workshop facilities continue to improve with more useful tools, many now displayed on Jerry's shadow boards. Nick has completed the installation of additional lighting so all of the workstations are now well lit and has begun the Herculean task of sorting our screws of which we have more than a few. Jeff has sharpened up another tranche of drills and once people get to hear of it, they will be coming from miles around to view Jerry's cupboard door fix.

Looking forward to 2019, the workshop re-opens on Tuesday January 8th and our first Mudeford Club lunch of 2019 will be on Friday 18th. Hopefully we will see some progress on the Somerford shed and with our membership continuing to grow, the potential for us to get involved in more community projects will also increase.

There are loads of places of interest to visit in the greater Christchurch area and I expect we will arrange a few days out as the year progresses.

See you all in the New Year!
