Finally a bit of good news and just in time for last minute Christmas shopping!
No, not the vaccine.....
.......the Co-op have selected Christchurch Men's Shed as one of (3) community projects they are supporting over the next 12-months in our local area.
To contribute to the CMS community project, you will need to become a Co-op member and select Christchurch Men's Shed as the project you wish to support (look out for the picture of us having fun outside Greystone's House)
I have copied and pasted the following extracts from the Co-op website:
To become a Co-op Member: Sign up to become a Co-op Member by visiting coop.co.uk/membership or downloading the Co-op App at coop.co.uk/coop-app.
How can someone become a Co-op Member if they are not digitally savvy? If you don't have a computer or are unable to download the Co-op app, you can call our Membership Support Centre on 0800 0686 727 to become a Member and select a cause. Lines are open 9am to 6pm Monday to Friday, and 9am to 5pm on Saturdays.
How does Co-op Membership help my community? As many of you will know, Co-op Membership recently changed. We’ve now made it easier to give communities a helping hand, so together, we can make things a little bit fairer. When you buy selected Co-op branded products and services, 2p from every pound you spend goes into your Membership account. We’ll also give the same amount to support community organisations and local causes.
If you have further queries I have a copy of the "Frequently asked questions" page from the Co-op relating to membership and community support but basically all that is needed is to join the Coop, select CMS as the cause to support and show your membership card when shopping at the Coop!
To date, we have raised £23.16 for CMS but if more of our members sign up to support CMS, we can increase this significantly over the year.
Best regards and happy shopping!
